Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown: Divas Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Raw will be captained by Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix with Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle & Jillian filling out the rest of the team. Team SmackDown will be captained by Divas Champion Michelle McCool with Maria, Maryse, Victoria & Natalya rounding out the five-some.
These bouts are not only a test of endurance, but also of will and fortitude as strategy changes throughout the match. Though the match may start out with even numbers, as members of the teams are eliminated, they are forced to vacate ringside – leaving their team at a disadvantage, which could become more and more dire, even sometimes ending up in a 4-on-1 or 5-on-1 handicap.
Another interesting factor for this match is the fact that, although these beautiful Divas will all be looking to represent their given brands, the question remains if they will be able to coexist in the ring with the Divas on their own teams, knowing there is no love lost in certain instances.
Will Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix be able to partner with both Mickie James and Candice Michelle knowing the storied past between the three and the Women’s Championship? How will Natalya, Victoria and Maryse mesh with Divas Champion Michelle McCool and her colleague Maria in representing the blue brand?
The only way to find out who will prevail in this beautiful battle of the brands is to tune in and watch Survivor Series live this Sunday on pay-per-view.
WWE Champion Triple H vs. Vladimir Kozlov (WWE Championship Match)
On the Nov. 7 edition of SmackDown, Kozlov defeated perhaps his toughest opponent yet – the formidable Undertaker – albeit by disqualification, thanks to interference from a maniacal Jeff Hardy. (WATCH)
For weeks, Kozlov has been clamoring for an opportunity at WWE Champion Triple H’s gold. At Survivor Series he finally gets his chance.
Can Kozlov continue his unbelievable unbeaten streak, or will "The King of Kings" continue his reign as WWE Champion?
Undertaker vs. Big Show (Casket Match)
At Survivor Series, Big Show will pursue Undertaker into the most frightening corners of darkness when he faces The Deadman in a Casket Match, hoping to extinguish The Phenom’s mighty scourge once and for all.
Since forming his powerful association with SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero in recent months, Big Show has strived to show that he does not fear Undertaker. He first made his impact known by knocking out his legendary prey at Unforgiven, proclaiming that he “broke his spirit along with his jaw.” At No Mercy, Big Show once again knocked out The Deadman with a little help from an exposed turnbuckle. Now at Survivor Series, The World’s Largest Athlete is looking to put the final nail in the coffin.
Undertaker has answered back in past weeks, unleashing a furious tirade upon SmackDown. He cost Big Show an opportunity at the gold when he interrupted his match with WWE Champion Triple H. The Phenom also expelled Big Show from the ring before Tombstoning Chavo Guerrero and slamming the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior into the dreaded casket.
Big Show looks to stomp on Undertaker’s unique connection with Survivor Series, the event where he first emerged 18 years ago. Over the years, The Deadman has used this pay-per-view as a forum to wage war in a variety of matches including Hell in a Cell, First Blood, Buried Alive, and two of the most devastating Casket Match conquests ever.
Can Big Show cast a big enough shadow to block out Undertaker’s historic legacy? Or will the casket be closed on Big Show? Find out at Survivor Series, Sunday, Nov. 23, only on pay-per-view.
Team Batista vs. Team Orton: Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match
Former Evolution teammates Orton and Batista are all too familiar with each other both in and out of the ring, but neither can predict what will ensue in this 5-on-5 bout. The contest will be a fight for survival as members of each team will be eliminated by pinfall, submission or count-out until a member, or members, of only one group are left standing.
The Traditional Elimination Tag Team Match is notorious for being anything but fair. At any point in the battle, an even match-up could turn into a handicap situation. And with the likes of Manu and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas sure to be standing close by, anything could happen.
Nearly every Superstar in the tri-branded Survivor Series tag match has tasted WWE gold at least once in their career, making them all formidable opponents. To boot, the on-going, heated rivalries between Hardy and Henry, Benjamin and Truth, the World Tag Team Champions and Rhodes, and Batista and Orton, will make this match emotionally driven. And, with new Intercontinental Champion William Regal’s momentum as of late, the win at Survivor Series is either teams for the taking.
Don’t miss this encounter live, Sunday, Nov. 23, as the tradition continues at the 22-annual Survivor Series, beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, only on pay-per-view.
