As first reported on WWE.com, Shawn Michaels will captain the team of Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali and Cryme Tyme in facing captain JBL’s team of Kane, MVP, The Miz & John Morrison in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match.

Though the participants may not be familiar with teaming with one another, many of their opponents in this bout share heated rivalries. The captains for each team are no strangers to one another with the hatred between the two growing quickly, as illustrated by JBL’s actions on Raw.

Michaels and the self-made millionaire found their paths intertwined in the chase for Chris Jericho and Jericho’s World Heavyweight Title, respectively. It’s gotten personal and – more importantly – physical between HBK and JBL, most recently with Layfield annihilating The Showstopper during Michaels’ Last Man Standing Match against Jericho.

The opposing captains aren’t the only two to have history. The rivalry between Kane and Rey Mysterio has gone on for months, with Stephanie McMahon attempting to put to an end to it on Raw in a brutal No Disqualification Match which saw Mysterio once again put down the Big Red Monster.

An interesting addition to Shawn Michaels’ team will be SmackDown’s The Great Khali, who had an unexpected change of heart when he came to Mysterio’s aid against Mark Henry and Kane.

The Punjabi Giant won’t be the only Superstar representing SmackDown as Montel Vontavious Porter will be looking to turn things around in a big way with his unprecedented losing streak that has seen him as anything but SmackDown’s MVP.

Also, there is no love lost between The Miz & John Morrison and Cryme Tyme. Their rivalry started on WWE.com amongst their respective online shows and spilt over into some brutal in-ring battles.

With the high tension between many of the opponents in this bout, the match could possibly be one of the most brutal Elimination Matches in Survivor Series history. Witness the contest which carries on the team vs. team tradition live, as Survivor Series airs Sunday, Nov. 23, only on pay-per-view.

Both World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and his challenger John Cena enter Survivor Series having overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

One man comes in fresh off some of the toughest matches of his career, having defeated two of the most intimidating competitors WWE has to offer, Shawn Micheals and Batista. The other man returns after three months of arduous rehabilitation from a neck injury that would have propelled lesser athletes into retirement.

While each competitor has proven himself an extraordinary survivor, only one will depart Boston’s TD Banknorth Garden as World Heavyweight Champion.

This battle of resolve was arranged by Shane McMahon during the celebration of Raw’s 800th episode, ensuring that John Cena would contend for the title. It was unclear at the time, however, who Cena’s opponent would be. World Heavyweight Champion Jericho had actually recaptured the gold at the end of the celebratory evening from The Animal, who he had lost the gold to just eight days earlier at Cyber Sunday.

The waters between Jericho and Cena run deep – and turbulent. Nowhere moreso, perhaps, than the stretch winding through August 2005. It was then that Cena defeated Jericho in a “You’re Fired” Match, a match that ended the career of the current World Heavyweight Champion, until his return in November 2007. His banishment from WWE remains a moment that Jericho will likely never forget.

When these two clash at Survivor Series, it will be a collision of steel wills. Which of these determined men will bend under the pressure? And which will emerge forged by the fires of combat as World Heavyweight Champion?

PHOENIX – The WWE Universe voted to see WWE Champion Triple H and Jeff Hardy go one-on-one again for the gold at Cyber Sunday, just weeks after their epic match at No Mercy. With 57 percent of the vote, YOU chose Hardy over Vladimir Kozlov as a challenger, or a Triple Threat Match with both Kozlov and Hardy taking on The Game.

Despite the vote, Hardy came up short in his attempt to become WWE Champion, falling to Triple H once again. With the crowd firmly split between the two Superstars, each tried to gain momentum as the match progressed, with neither able to push his opponent out of his way to claim the title.

When it appeared as Jeff Hardy had the match won after a Swanton Bomb, the risk-taking Superstar ascended the ropes again to assure himself a victory, and Triple H stopped the second Swanton with his knees. After the fight moved to the outside, Hardy went to the top rope for a third time, and The Game made him pay, pulling Hardy down from the turnbuckle and delivering a Pedigree in one motion – putting an end to Hardy's championship aspirations.

In the end, The Game once again earned a hard-fought victory against the high-flying Hardy, showing that he is at his best with his WWE Championship on the line. The matches between these two warriors have also showed the respect that each man has for the other, something that the Moscow Mauler has for no man as he continues to look for competition in WWE – and Kozlov's disgust over not being voted in could lead to more attacks from the undefeated Superstar.

PHOENIX – Summoning power deep from within, Undertaker used his deadly submission hold to help eliminate Big Show in their brutally physical Last Man Standing Match.

The Phenom’s win was a measure of revenge for No Mercy, where The World’s Largest Athlete was able to do what perhaps no other Superstar has been – knock out The Deadman.

The epic Cyber Sunday encounter was set by YOU, the WWE Universe, who chose the Last Man Standing Match over the other two options: I Quit Match and Knockout Match.

The titanic struggle included a powerful offense from both Superstars in an epic no disqualifications encounter.

Toward the end of the battle, The Phenom was on the receiving end of a hard right punch from Big Show, but was able to rise to his feet after an eight-count. Next, The Deadman took the full force of a steel chair to his head.

Despite feeling the effects of both assaults, Undertaker was able to lock Big Show in the same deadly submission hold he has used to vanquish many opponents on SmackDown. With both Superstars physically drained, it was Undertaker who was able to rise to his feet just before the 10-count and claim not only the win, but sweet revenge.

The loss was also a blow for SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero who has aligned herself with Big Show to help do her bidding. But, now that Undertaker has proven he can stop The World's Largest Athlete, who can stop the demon from Death Valley on Friday nights?
