Following his fiery confrontation with Kane in the Inferno Match at Armageddon, MVP surprisingly received only first-degree burns to his back.
According to WWE medical staff, MVP was able to leave the Richmond Coliseum in this condition because the 500-degree flames engulfed a large surface area of his body rather than being concentrated only to one area.
First-degree burns similar to those afflicting MVP typically involve minimal tissue damage and primarily affect the skin surface causing severe pain, redness and swelling.
When will we see the brash – yet burnt – SmackDown Superstar back in the ring? After a match as lethal as the one he experienced at Armageddon, can MVP ever be the same competitor? Can the young, talented entertainer make a successful comeback from the scalding of a lifetime?
Tune in to SmackDown this Friday night at 8/7 CT on the CW Network to find out.
